As stated on the Cut Short page, after The Sign of Jesus’ Coming, God, Jesus, and the twenty-four elders (Rev. 5:8) will observe how the world responds—did the majority turn toward God? If it is sufficient, then the Cut Short in Righteousness version will commence wherein we bypass the horrors of The Revelation of John Chapters 8-19. If not, the Long Version will begin with Satan being cast down to earth; these are the different consequences.
Short Version
Righteous
In the Cut Short version, the righteous and many of The Resurrected will become “Ministers of God” who will become “kings and priests” unto God (Rev. 5:10). They will help reform all earthly kingdoms until they each are Kingdom-of-God qualified.
Inherit Earth
9 For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth. (Psalms 37; Matthew 5:5)
Hundredfold
29 And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name’s sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life. (Matthew 19:27–30)
Land of Your Fathers
14 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that it shall no more be said, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;
15 But, The Lord liveth, that brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the lands whither he had driven them: and I will bring them again into their land that I gave unto their fathers. (Jeremiah 16)
There are many rewards for the righteous, further explored on the Rewards and Framework pages.
Retribution
The faithful will be God’s hands in administering His retribution, which may come as a welcome to the disobedient the same way a defiant child wants to be corrected to clear their conscience.
8 And the remnant of Jacob (a) shall be among the Gentiles (b) in the midst of many people (c) as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: (d) who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.
9 Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries,(e) and all thine enemies shall be cut off.(f)
10 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots:
11 And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds:
12 And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers:
13 Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.
14 And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities.(g)
15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard. (Micah 5)
a. Remnant of Jacob
“Jacob” represents God’s people, and “the remnant” signifies the faithful among them. This concept is described in the Parable of the Ten Virgins as the “five wise” represent the faithful among them (Mat. 25:1-2).
b. Gentiles
The “Gentiles” in this prophecy represents the unfaithful.
c. Many People
“Many people” represent the world at large.
d. Young Lion Among Sheep
“Young lion among flocks of sheep” represents the strength of the faithful and the vulnerability of everyone else. Those incompatible with the love of God on that day will become incapacitated as they deal with their newly activated conscience and its guilt. It will be just another way of showing or exposing who the selfish or “goats” (Mat. 25:33) have been all along.
The world will come to know that God is love, and that the conscience is based on love. They will conclude that anyone who is out of sync (or incapacitated) with the glory has betrayed their conscience and are therefore not worthy of whatever lands, businesses, wealth, positions of status, etc. they had acquired.
The faithful will be commanded by God to execute His will of vengeance upon the unfaithful with “anger and fury” so they can bleed the venom.
e. Thine Hand
It says, “their hand,” i.e., the faithful, not the devil’s, not the wicked’s, nor the angel’s hands. The faithful will be the hand that “executes vengeance” upon the “enemies” of God, much like the Knights Templar did.
f. Cut Off
“Cut off” means “to remove.” In other words, the faithful will remove the ill-gotten wealth of the disobedient which includes horses [cars, boats, motorcycles], chariots [luxury vehicles: RVs, limousines, houseboats, yachts, etc.], cities [gated communities, wealthy neighborhoods, famous cities, highly prized city centers, etc.], strong holds [country clubs, churches, universities, all their buildings, lands, and everything in them, pools, golf courses, etc.], witchcrafts [tools which gave an unfair advantage, perhaps computer systems, electronics, software, data, etc.], soothsayers, graven images [jewelry, pottery, etc.], standing images [works of art], work of thy hands [businesses, corporations, factories, etc.].
g. Scorched Earth Campaign
God will allow the faithful to destroy whatever they can’t take or use from the unfaithful. The unfaithful who won’t repent are going to bleed out or be destroyed by fire (as is discussed next). The Old Testament has many examples of God commanding such things (e.g., Moses).
Wicked
What becomes of the wicked, or those who will not repent? Ultimately they will be destroyed:
5 I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that the Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed them that believed not. (Jude 1)
23 And it shall come to pass that every soul which will not hear that prophet shall be destroyed from among the people. (Acts 3)
9 Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.
10 For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.
11 And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
12 I will make a [righteous] man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir. (Isaiah 13)14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. (Jude 1)
The wicked will be eliminated in one of three ways: removed to hell, bleed out and then go to hell, or burned to death and then end up in hell.
Removed
Parable of the Tares
40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. (Matthew 13)
Parable of the Net
47 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
48 Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. (Matthew 13)
Whirlwind
24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. (Isaiah 40)
Rapture
There has been some confusion about who will be Raptured – the wicked or the righteous? The confusion extends from contradictory verses. Some say the wicked will be removed; others say the righteous. When we understand there are two possible outcomes, it eliminates the confusion.
Of course the wicked won’t be “taken up” in the traditional understanding of the word “rapture,” but they will be removed, body and soul:
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. (Matthew 24)
Bleed Out
The prophecy of Zephaniah describes well what becomes of the wicked after the glory falls at The Sign of Jesus’ Coming, or thereafter:
14 The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly. (A)
15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness, (B)
16 A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. (C)
17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, (D) and their flesh as the dung.
18 Neither their silver nor their gold (E) shall be able to deliver them in the day of the Lord’s wrath; (F) but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: (G) for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land. (H) (Zephaniah 1)
A. Cry Bitterly
Every person born with a conscience knows when they have betrayed it, particularly those who have built empires on lies, unfairness, and fraud. They know that they compromised themselves and are just seeing how long they can get away with it – at the expense of others. These two things, reviving their conscience and exposing their greed, will cause them to cry out “bitterly.” The rich man likewise cried out, from hell:
19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. (Luke 16)
B. Adjectives
How will the wicked feel when God’s glory descends on earth? Scripture uses these adjectives: wrath, trouble, distress, wastefulness, desolation, darkness, gloominess, clouds, and thick darkness as they realize their fictitious reality cannot compare to the reality of God. The faithful, on the other hand, will experience the opposite: blessings, comfort, joy, bounty, plenty, light, happiness, and clarity.
C. High Places
“Fenced cities” and “high towers” represent the places of refuge the wealthy have long enjoyed, including homes, businesses, political office, religious office, etc. They have been the “untouchables,” and many come from “old money” going back many generations whose family business empires are like monopolies.
D. Blood
Verse 17 makes it clear that the prophecy is about the unrepentant. These people will become so “distressed” that they won’t be able to walk or think straight, which is similar to the effect sin has upon the mind:
17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. (Ephesians 4)
This future period could be far worse for some people as the Holy Spirit gives them a reality check which exposes every delusion the person has created. These fictions might include man-made belief systems (or the lack of one), justifications, perversions, and any lie they sought to hide. Everything will become exposed, and that exposure will devastate the unrepentant. The “distress” (can’t eat or sleep) will remain until either they a. repent, or b. die from hemorrhaging (to bleed profusely), due to a possible exhausted immune system, or hematidrosis where the body literally sweats blood due to extreme stress.
E. Wealth
In all previous times, the wealthy have been able to fix their problems with a little money or influence. That will not work this time, which will compound an already devastating situation.
F. Wrath
God punishes the wicked, not the faithful. This prophecy is concerning the sinners, and yes to them, God’s Spirit will come across as “wrath,” but that is because darkness hates the light. For those walking in God’s love and light, it will be quite the opposite – joyous and a welcome.
G. Devoured
The phrase “whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy” is, of course, speaking metaphorically. What is God’s “jealousy”? It is His love and yes, His love, the Holy Spirit will bathe the whole earth non-stop. It will be a New Heaven and New Earth covered in the strong power of God’s presence. And His glory wants our full attention and all of our hearts and minds; sin, i.e., whatever separates a person from God, will have no place. A person will either reform or die a painful death.
H. Speedy Riddance
How long can a person live without food? Several weeks. How long can a person live without water? Three days. How long can a person live without sleep? That is hard to say as everyone is different. Fatal familial insomnia (FFI) may very well be what Zephaniah was describing when he said the sinners were behaving like the blind. An early effect of insomnia is dementia, and once dementia sets in, the situation will become compounded, and the outcome accelerated to a “speedy riddance” of the unrepentant.
Fire
Are there any examples where fire was used to destroy something or someone? Yes, an altar, men, and sheep:
7 Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 1)
7 And in the greatness of thine excellency thou hast overthrown them that rose up against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as stubble. (Exodus 15)
9 Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down.
10 And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.
11 Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.
12 And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. (2 Kings 1)26 And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering. (1 Chronicles 21)
1 Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house. (2 Chronicles 7)
16 While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed them; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee. (Job 1)
Are there any prophecies that say fire will be used in the days ahead to destroy the unrepentant? Yes. However, which prophecies are metaphorical and which are literal is the question. We can establish that God has destroyed people by fire in the past. What is to say He will not use the same method to remove the unrepentant after The Sign of Jesus’ Coming or sometime after that?
8 Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
9 Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the Lord shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
10 Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. (Psalms 21)19 And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees’ excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. (Isaiah 13)
13 Thou art wearied in the multitude of thy counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save thee from these things that shall come upon thee.
14 Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: there shall not be a coal to warm at, nor fire to sit before it. (Isaiah 47)1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
2 A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.
5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.
7 They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:
8 Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
10 The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
11 And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?
12 Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:
13 And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.
14 Who knoweth if he will return and repent, and leave a blessing behind him; even a meat offering and a drink offering unto the Lord your God? (Joel 2)1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the Lord of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the Lord of hosts. (Malachi 4)40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. (Matthew 13)28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. (Luke 17)18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: (Acts 2)7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Revelation 20)
The awareness that God specifically uses fire to destroy the wicked is evident from the following conversation between Jesus and his apostles:
54 And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? (Luke 9)
Long Version
Righteous
In the traditional Long Version, the righteous are removed by way of The Rapture. God does not punish the righteous, but He will chastise the wicked by using the antichrist to pour out wrath upon those left behind – the Left Behinders.
Q. Where are the faithful taken?
A. To the Wedding Banquet in the Holy City.
Q. How long will the faithful be gone in the Long Version?
A. 3.5 years, according to The Revelation of John.
Q. Who will be Raptured?
A. The faithful and the innocent children.
Wicked
What becomes of the wicked in the Long Version? That is described in The Revelation of John Chapters 8-19 and entails persecution, torture, and death. The purpose of those things is to get the people to repent and turn to God; it is God’s tough love.
Hell
Christians and the public at large often overlook the reality of hell. So, although movies and books portray hell, the question arises, is the doctrine “once saved always saved” correct? Should back-sliding Christians, sinners, and atheists be worried?
In recent years God has allowed some people to come back from the dead to tell their stories about heaven and hell. He even escorted the living down into hell and commanded them to alert the world that HELL IS REAL. But before sharing their testimonies, we should first let the scriptures speak for themselves.
Scriptures
Hell is mentioned as early as the Book of Deuteronomy:
22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall burn unto the lowest hell. (Deuteronomy 32)
In the New Testament, Jesus gave the Parable of the Rich Man, where according to Jesus, all that was needed to gain access to hell was to have and to keep more money than the person required – he was “rich.” Also mentioned in the parable was a poor man by the name of Lazarus. He, on the other-hand, was granted access to heaven.
On the surface, the parable may seem a little trite, the rich guy is the bad guy who goes to hell, and the good guy is the poor guy who goes to heaven. Be that as it may, it is the other details that are of interest – hell is real:
19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores,
21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man’s table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores.
22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments (Luke 16)
Hell was originally made for the fallen angels:
4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; (2 Peter)
Unrepentant humans will receive the same fate as fallen angels:
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. (Mark 16)
To the religionists of his day, Jesus made the same promise:
29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
31 Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
32 Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? (Matthew 23)
Modern Witnesses
Mary K. Baxter
Mary K.Baxter was taken by Jesus to hell every night for thirty nights, three hours each night (2am-5am). She tells her experience in the book A Divine Revelation of Hell (1976). The book has been translated into many languages and is available online for free here.
What is significant about her story are the details of each person she saw in hell. She tells what they did or failed to do in life and Jesus explains why they are there. Can a person ever get out of hell? The answer is “no.” When King David said God would not “leave his soul in hell” (Psalms 16:10) he was uttering a messianic prophecy. It refers to Jesus not David as explained by Peter in Acts 2:25-36.
Jesus showed Mary creatures in hell that, according to him, would destroy the earth if they were let out, i.e. if the Long Version comes (YouTube).
Bill Wiese
Unlike Mary K. Baxter who was escorted to hell, Bill Wiese was unexpectedly thrust down to hell. Bill tells his story in his New York Times Best-Seller 23 Minutes in Hell (2006). In this book, Bill does a great job of documenting everything that he saw by Bible verse.
He also has a ministry sharing about his experience and alerting people to the fairness of God and the reality of hell. In particular, Wiese explains the dynamics between heaven and hell and why people go to hell is because they are not compatible with heaven or God, saying, “God is an unquenchable fire in whose presence sin cannot dwell.”
It’s a scientific dynamic why people go to where they are compatible. Liars dwell in hell, not heaven. So if you are a liar when you die, you will naturally go to where liars reside, it’s that simple. The only way for a liar to avoid going to the abode of liars is by the blood of Jesus washing their record clean. For more information go here.
Richard Sigmund
It is said of Richard Sigmund’s near-death experience that it is the most extensive of all. It is representative of many where the person is shown heaven and hell, or “the other place” as Richard called it.
It’s as if God wanted to make sure those whom He would allow sharing their experiences would present a balanced picture of both places. This is what Richard saw:
‘Come. My Father wills you to see the other place,’ Jesus said. Immediately, I felt dread and did not want to go. Jesus looked at me and said, ‘There is no disobedience in heaven,’ and I was ready to go. I knew that because I was with Jesus, I would be perfectly safe.
Jesus picked me up and carried me like a baby. There was no give to His body; it felt as hard as steel. He has all-powerful arms; He is the strongest Being in the universe.
Instantly, we descended into a gray, nasty stench, like a rotting carcass. I buried my face in His robe.
‘You will not want to see,’ He said, and I was scared. I had both of my arms wrapped around one of Jesus’ arms. We descended to a flat area, and I was at the gates of total destruction.
I quickly realized that hell is the exact opposite of everything that heaven is. The gates were as big as the gates in heaven, but these were made of a black material. I remember stairs. And there were hideous, grotesque beings as tall as the angels who guarded the gates of heaven. Some cartoon figures of demons approach how hideous these creatures were. When they saw the Master, they screamed in horror.
There were also flames of punishment. I felt the doom and despair there. I heard people crying out. It seems that demons take people and torture them to the same level of pain the demons themselves are in – or worse. People were naked. There was no one there who was not old enough to know what sin was. There were no babies.
Jesus urged me to tell people what I saw. ‘I want you to tell others of this place and warn them that unless they are washed in My blood, unless they are born again, this is where they will spend eternity.’
There were demons all around, screaming, screaming, screaming at the very presence of Jesus. They could not stand to be in His presence. As soon as they saw Him, they screamed and ran in terror.
There were people begging and pleading with Jesus to get them out of there, but He would not hear them because their judgment was fixed. (See Hebrews 9:27.)
I cannot describe everything I saw because it makes me violently ill. I don’t want to remember. But I can tell you that there is absolute horror.
When you die, you have a spiritual body. This spiritual body has the exact properties that your physical body had when you were alive. You are a spirit being, yet all physical senses are present.
I saw people in hell who were no more than walking skeletons with flesh of some kind hanging off of them-rotting off of them. There were maggots, and the smell was unbreathable. People were being raped. Serpents ate and digested parts of people; then, the people were restored and it happened all over again.
I witnessed people being ripped apart by demons. Parts of their bodies were hanging on boulders and rocks, and the demons would take the parts and eat them and pass them through. And then the body was whole again for the process to be repeated.
A young girl had hot coals forced into her mouth as demons mocked, ‘You really thought you were getting by with something.’
There were groups of people in small cages that were on fire. People were put into small, burning cages that were then dipped in a lake of fire. However, their bodies were not consumed. The bodies were never consumed. They were half skeletons/half beings.
Demons poured liquid fire on people. There were what looked like coal pits burning.
People had cancer, with all its pain and suffering – forever.
One man had a rotting arm. It took a hundred years to rot off. Then, it was restored, only to begin rotting off again.
There was another man with part of his head blown off from war. He had to keep looking for the rest of his head.
I saw the lake of fire with people in it, bobbing around. Every torment you can imagine is multiplied a million times.
There are degrees of punishment in hell. The people who are punished the greatest are those who knew the most and didn’t do what they should have done. I thought of Hitler, and I thought of God’s justice.
There was a hole, and in the bottom of the hole demons were chained. When they saw Jesus, they screamed out, ‘We’re coming to get You!’ But Jesus said. ‘No, you won’t.’
I pleaded, ‘Please, I don’t want any more.’
There were pits of hell that were empty – empty now, but waiting for whole nations.
It was dark, and there were demons and serpents everywhere. The demons inflicted more pain than they were going through themselves.
And they will go out and look upon the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; their worm will not die, nor will their fire be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind. (Isaiah 66:24)
Then, I saw the place reserved for the devil and his angels: he will have flaming, slimy fire over his head for a thousand years. The lake of fire had depths that got worse and worse and worse.
‘Son, you have fulfilled what God wanted,’ Jesus said. We ascended to the platform again.
I asked, ‘Who am I going to tell?’
‘Tell others about a place called heaven – and the other place, the place of separation.’
He took my face in His hands and tilted it so that I had to look directly into His face. Then, He said, ‘Don’t ever forget how much I love you and what I have done for you. Never forget how much I love those whom you are going back to and the place I have prepared for them and how much I love them.’ (Richard Sigmund, My Time In Heaven, pp. 116-119)
Justified
Is hell justified? The only reason a person may question the justice of God is that they have not tasted of His goodness. Once a person experiences God’s love, they will know just how fair His justice is to those who consciously turn away from His love.
An example would be the United States, which is a generous, free nation with many programs for those in need. People come to America, both legally and illegally, to partake of her goodness, yet some commit heinous crimes and end up in our prisons. Are the prisons justified?
No one who has returned from a near-death experience has ever said “God is unfair.” In every instance, they are so touched by the goodness and fairness of God that they sing His praises, repent, and reform.
Repent
Now is the time to repent if you need to do so. Why wait and further jeopardize your standing before God?
How
God sent Jesus to show us the way, so read and study what Jesus said. A single, most overlooked verse, for example, is found in the Lord’s Prayer and has more to do with our salvation than perhaps anything else:
12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. (Matthew 6)
Why?
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (Matthew 6:14–15)
